CMSA holds business luncheon

The Capital Market Solicitors Association (CMSA) will on December 2, 2015 hold a business luncheon.

The Capital Market Solicitors Association (CMSA) will on December 2, 2015 hold a business luncheon.

According to a statement by the organisers, this year’s Business luncheon is organized to discuss pragmatic ways to develop the Nigerian Capital market with the theme; “Making the Nigerian Capital Market a Catalyst for change”.

“Issues presently affecting the Nigerian Capital Market such as liquidity, capacity, taxation, how the Nigeria market compares to the capital markets of other jurisdictions and how all market operators and other stakeholders can play a role in deepening and making positive changes to the market, will be discussed. Some of these issues were identified in “The Nigeria-UK Capital Market Projects Report” which was jointly produced by the Capital Market Solicitors Association and the Law Society of England and Wales in March 2015”, the statement signed by its chairman, YinkaEdu reads.

The Luncheon is open to attendance by various participants in the Nigerian Capital market community such as Issuers, Investment Banks, Stockbrokers, Trustees, Registrars and capital market enthusiasts.

The Luncheon will be the first organized by the new executives of the CMSA. The new CMSA executive committee is led by the Chairman, Mrs. YinkaEdu of UdoUdoma& Belo-Osagie, Mrs. AyotundeOwoigbe of Banwo&Ighodalo as the Vice-chairman, Mr. Benjamin Obidegwu of Hermon (Barristers & Solicitors) as the secretary, and other Executive committee members.
