Drummer of Peace in the studio for Lubulubu
The Drummer of Peace, Prince Adewale Laoye has been in the studio creating a rich new album for his fans and new listeners. There is a special track in the forthcoming release tagged Lubulubu. The sound of the new album promises to be anointing and a blessing to lovers of rich Yoruba heritage.
Prince Laoye is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his fans’ expectation of the new work is met. He has promised them “an artistic celebratory sketchbook, full of rich culture, and empowered to revive some of the beautiful Yoruba folk songs.”
With the album, the expert drummer says, he wants to remind listeners that vibrant songs of peace is the tonic Nigerians need to heal the wounds inflicted on our cultural patrimony.
On Lubulubu, one of the tracks in the new album, Laoye says the lyrics “is to powerfully drive home the message of correcting the indecency of dressing that has become norm nowadays,” adding, he says, “this is a much needed-message to reclaim our glorious past as culture-endowed people.”
The Drummer of Peace, promises that this new album will deliver heavy percussion, call and response, featuring the talking drum, his fantastic vocals, great backup voices, the flute, and other accompaniments such as Iyaalu Bata drum, Emele, Iyaalu Dundun, Apala, Apinta, Agere, Sekere, Igbin, Agogo among others.
