At the inauguration, Governor AbdulRazaq outlined the vision for KWSUED as a “successor to the College of Education Ilorin,” aiming to equip the state with a first-rate institution devoted to educational disciplines.

“This university is a child of necessity,” he stated, stressing the institution’s importance in addressing new educational demands. He further challenged the council to establish a high standard from the outset, with employment policies based strictly on need, affordability, and merit, so as not to burden the state’s resources.

Significantly, the Governor named the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahya Alebiosu, as the Chancellor of the university, reinforcing the cultural and academic stature of the institution.
