The Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism (WSCJ) has opened entries for this year’s investigative reporting awards. Interested reporters are expected to submit stories that deal with clandestine activities on public or corporate corruption, human rights abuses, and regulatory failures.

The awards are also geared towards showing competency and credibility through investigative journalism and providing vital force for the restoration of human dignity.

The awards, 14th in the series, are open to all interested Nigerian reporters or team of reporters (full-time or freelancing) who published a story, through print or electronic Nigerian news media (television, radio, photo, editorial cartoon, print or online) between October 4, 2018 and October 3, 2019. Entries will close on October 24, 2019.

WSCJ is a non-government organisation and not- for- profit project aimed at contributing to the expansion of a good network of investigative journalism and promoting the culture of investigative work in Nigeria media.
