Dana Group donates Kia Rio to Lagos State govt
AS part of its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts to Lagosians, Dana Group of Companies Plc on Tuesday, donated a Kia Rio 1.2 cc engine car to the Lagos State Government at Lagos House, Ikeja.
According to the Managing Director of the Organisation, Jacky Hathiramani, the gesture was to boost mutual relationship and create working synergy that would be beneficial to both the State government and the company.
He stated that the indigenously assembled cars would go a long way in addressing the short fall in vehicles manufacturing plants in Nigeria.
Receiving the car donation on behalf of the Governor, the Permanent Secretary, Office of Chief of Staff, Abiodun Bamgboye thanked Dana Group, reiterating the commitment of the State Government to create conducive business environment for genuine investors to thrive.
He assured that government will continue the utilization of local tools in achieving technological advancement and meaningful developmental initiatives which Dana Motors stands for.
Bamgboye stressed that locally assembled vehicles would go a long way in assisting the State Government provide employment for its teeming unemployed automobile engineers and allied technicians as well as encouraging the establishment of more car manufacturing companies in the country.
