The Public Service Reforms (BPSR) and the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) are strengthening strategic allowance to deepen reforms and improve service delivery.
Leading a delegation to the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), the Director General of BPSR, Dr Dasuki Arabi, said the visit was aimed at fostering synergy between the two agencies in line with national goals of institutional reform, digital transformation and improved public service delivery.
Arabi reiterated that the courtesy visit aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s directive for greater inter-agency collaboration under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We are here to build stronger ties, reduce duplication of efforts, and improve public service performance across the board. Public sector reform is not just about systems—it’s about outcomes, data-driven accountability, and ensuring every Naira spent is monitored for impact,” he stated.
He introduced BPSR’s four-pillar reform strategy and discussed plans to cascade reform frameworks to states and local governments.
Arabi also expressed optimism that NADDC would be among the agencies recognised for excellence during the upcoming Public Service Week in October.
Both agencies agreed to explore joint initiatives, capacity-building efforts and digital integration strategies to deepen reform outcomes and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s socio-economic growth.
On his part, the Director General of NADDC, Joseph Osanipin commended BPSR’s leadership in championing pivotal reform initiatives such as the Treasury Single Account (TSA), Bank Verification Number (BVN) and Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS), noting their impact on transparency and efficiency in governance.
He added, “The quality of civil servants is directly tied to a nation’s development. Reforms must begin at the core – those who shape policy and deliver services. We recognise BPSR’s invaluable contributions to Nigeria’s reform journey and look forward to integrating these principles into our operations at NADDC.”
He also disclosed that there is an ongoing effort to digitise the Council’s processes and align them with global best practices, stressing that reforms and innovation must go hand in hand to ensure the Council remains future-ready.
