The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated 100 tons of dates to Nigeria ahead of fasting during Ramadan. A handover ceremony was held in Abuja, where Saudi Ambassador Faisal bin Ibrahim Al-Ghamdi emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian aid and Islamic solidarity. The donation, facilitated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), will be distributed to vulnerable families in Abuja and Kano (50 tons each).
Ambassador Al-Ghamdi expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and highlighted Saudi Arabia’s dedication to supporting Muslim communities, especially during Ramadan. He reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to cooperation with Nigeria, particularly in humanitarian and Islamic affairs, and noted that this initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of expanding international humanitarian contributions.
The dates will be distributed through local organizations to ensure they reach those most in need.
