A Ibadan-based migration training institution, Global Relocation Academy (GRA), has introduced a new programme aimed at addressing the challenges faced by skilled and unskilled professionals in accessing sponsored employment opportunities abroad.
The initiative, known as the Ultimate Sponsored Job Masterclass, is designed to guide eligible individuals through the increasingly complex process of securing visa-sponsored roles in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Germany, and select Asian nations. With growing international demand for foreign labour across healthcare, technology, construction, and other sectors, the academy says the training seeks to bridge the gap between African talent and global workforce needs.
In recent years, countries such as the UK and Germany have reported a shortage of skilled workers, particularly in critical sectors like engineering, health services, and IT. While many Nigerians possess the required qualifications, navigating the maze of employer sponsorship and visa eligibility remains a major obstacle for most.
Speaking on the motivation behind the programme, Founder of Global Relocation Academy, Saviors Daniel, noted that the opportunities for global work placement are expanding but access remains limited for many.
“There are thousands of professionals across Africa who are qualified for roles in countries facing labour shortages, but they simply do not have the right information or direction,” he said. “What we are doing is demystifying the entire process and showing people how to position themselves for international job placements.”
According to Daniel, the masterclass offers participants a step-by-step understanding of how to identify real job openings that come with sponsorship, how to tailor their applications for specific migration pathways, and how to avoid common legal or procedural pitfalls that often lead to delays or disqualification.
He added that while migration remains a personal decision, properly guided relocation through employment channels offers a more sustainable and secure route for people looking to pursue better career opportunities abroad. “The global demand for skilled and even semi-skilled workers has never been higher,” he said. “But the window of opportunity will not remain open forever. Now is the time for eligible individuals to prepare.”
The programme is expected to run in batches and targets Nigerians across various professional levels, including fresh graduates, mid-career professionals, and artisans seeking better job prospects overseas.
