Grace School restates commitment to qualitative education
ADMINISTRATOR of Grace School, Gbagada, Lagos, Mrs. Tokunbo Edun, has stressed the need for concerted efforts to be made by stakeholders towards revamping the educational sector and stemming it from collapse.
This is as she has reiterated the resolve of her school to provide complete and qualitative education to its students, with a view to turning out well-groomed scholars that will ultimately contribute immensely to society’s advancement.
Specifically, Edun wants stakeholders to ensure the rapid development of the sector through qualitative approaches, which would help the sector regain its lost glory.
Edun, who spoke in Lagos recently on the need to improve the quality of education delivered in the country, said Nigerian schools should be in a position to compete favorably with their counterparts from across the globe, provided they were equipped with the basic fundamentals that would distinguish them.
The school administrator while emphasising the place of modern teaching methods in the delivery of sound education, stressed that there should also be adequate investment in educational resources and essential infrastructures.
Nigeria’s educational sector, according to her should experience the same growth like other countries if we must make progress in contemporary times.
She asserted that repositioning the educational sector would be in the best interest of the country, just as the students need qualitative learning to remain outstanding in life.
The educationist also charged parents to be alive to their responsibilities of not only funding the education of their children, but also in the proper monitoring and supervision of their children.
