THE Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency ( LASIMRA) has restated its commitment to regulation of the communication infrastructure space in the telecommunications, financial services and utilities sectors.

Making the assertion yesterday, the newly appointed General Manager of the agency, Mr. Babajide Odekunle, reiterated that the era of impunity by service providers in the area of adherence to using substandard materials in erecting communication infrastructure and undue delay in completion of approved works on major roads by utility companies will no longer be tolerated.

Odekunle also gave an insight into the plans and programmes of the agency indicating that a session will hold before the end of the year to formally meet the stakeholders and that an enumeration exercise of all communications infrastructure will soon be undertaken by the agency.

In identifying with the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to make governance responsive, the agency has given out a dedicated line 09081154716 and 08162667719 for the public to reach out to the agency for enquiries and report any attempt to lay cables on/under any road in the state.
