The group noted that the emergence of Buhari as the president of this country is a divine intervention to put an end to this major malaise called corruption that has ravaged the nation’s economy such that the effects may not spare generations unborn, if something is not done quickly to arrest it.
In a speech delivered by the chief executive of the organization, Barrister Michael Babalola, he stated that NGAG is an affiliation with ICPC and the essence of the organisation is to join force in the fight against corruption embarked upon by Buhari’s administration.
Babalola also urged Buhari to ignore call to return tollgates to the country’s major roads, saying that the call is for selfish reasons.
“NGAG is saying no to this, because in the past, when there were tollgates on our roads, who accounted for them?” he asked.
He also asked the government to do something about the state of the roads and the traffic situation that has pervaded the NPA and Apapa axis which has been left to deteriorate for too long by past leaders.
