FG pledges quality service in healthcare facilities

The Federal Government has emphasised the need to improve the quality of care in healthcare facilities across the country and improve the experience of patients.
Minister of State for Health, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, who disclosed this during an interaction with journalists in Abuja, stated that there is a need to ensure that Nigerians get top-notch services and that patients are treated with courtesy when they visit healthcare facilities.
Salako observed that the media is important in disseminating government policies and programmes to Nigerians, especially in the health sector.
He said that the the country needs to emphasize prevention in its approach to health care adding that we need to prevent diseases instead of waiting for diseases to occur.
The minister said that the strategic Plans of the ministry are well spelled out within the health sector renewal investment initiative and the Sector-Wide Approach
Salako noted that the president in the 2025 budget proposal has given the health sector close to N5trillion to spend working to ensure that health agencies translate government policies into practical realities.
