Group empowers girls with personal hygiene kits
A non-governmantal organisation, the Selfless Service Foundation, has empowered 100 girls with personal hygiene kits to boost their confidence, productivity and encourage a healthy lifestyle. The event held in Yaba Lagos.
The founder, the Selfless Service, Chelsea Jegede, assured the girls of happy moments during ‘their days’ by the use of the sanitary materials, which would boost their efficiency.
The beneficiaries, students of Herbert Macaulay Senior Girls High School, were also taught the importance of proper hygiene at an interactive session.
Jegede explained that the Foundation consists of young individuals, who believe they can make a difference in their world, as they carry out their projects for the year.
She disclosed that the Foundation had raised funds to cater for the girls through supplying all their personal hygiene materials.
“We deeply appreciate our members, kind-hearted individuals and those who work diligently and donated to this cause to make the dream work,” she said.
Dr. Tolu Olatunji also educated the girls on everything they needed to know about personal hygiene and healthy lifestyle.
