Ogun to commission renovated 250-bed hospital in December

The Ogun State Medical Centre of Excellence, also known as the 250-bed hospital in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, is set to be commissioned in December.

The state governor, Dapo Abiodun, disclosed this during an inspection of the level of work done at the hospital, which was built but not completed by the previous administration.

Abiodun also stated that the hospital, upon commissioning, would be managed by the Abuja Medical Centre of Excellence, which has King’s College Hospital as one of its international partners.

The governor stated that the hospital, when finally commissioned, would help reduce medical tourism to a bare minimum, adding that the facility would rival others in the area.

Meanwhile, the Project Manager of Healthshare Integrated Solutions, the operator of the hospital complex, Dr Frank Etang, said they would meet the December target for the commissioning of the hospital complex.

“We are currently rounding off with the first floor, where we have the theatre, ICU and the wards, so we are ready for that commissioning,” he said.
