Igbo group tasks gov on peaceful coexistence

Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN) has commended Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for urging Nigerians to continue to co-exist peacefully and pray for the continuous unity of the nation.
The group in statement by its president, Chief Udoka Udeogaranya stated that they welcomed a statement credited to the governor that “Lagos remains a major cosmopolitan state and all Nigerians from different tribes have been living together in peace in the state since the last 48 years that it was created.”
NCSN, however, urged the governor to practice what he preaches and ensure that he fully complies with the provisions of our nation’s constitution that clearly demands that appointments into the state executive councils must reflect the people living in the state in order to encourage loyalty, as he is about to form his executive council.
