Innov8League, a global platform that fosters early-stage innovation and entrepreneurial problem-solving, has officially opened applications for the 2025 edition of its prestigious global innovation competition.
Now in version 1.0 of its expanded global format, Innov8League 2025 invites entrepreneurs, technologists, professionals, students, and visionaries from around the world to submit groundbreaking ideas that address real-world challenges across industries.
Miss Ololade Balikis, Media Director of Innov8League, said in a statement made available in Lagos that interested applicants could apply for the competition on [www.innov8league.com](http://www.innov8league.com).
Balikis mentioned that the deadline for applications for the contestants is set for 16th May 2025, while the application deadline for judges is on 20th May 2025, and the live event will be held on 24th and 25th May 2025, virtually.
Designed as a virtual platform that champions creativity, scalability, and impact, Balikis said Innov8League connects bold thinkers with an international panel of judges, mentors, and potential supporters.
She stated that the competition is open at no cost to innovators at every stage of development—whether they are nurturing an idea, building a minimum viable product (MVP), or operating an early-stage business.
“Innov8League 2025 will be conducted entirely online, offering global accessibility to both participants and judges.
“The event spans two dynamic days of live pitch sessions, real-time judging, interactive panels, and an awards ceremony that honors the most innovative, scalable, and impactful solutions.
“Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their ideas before a curated panel of experts drawn from across industries, including venture capital, technology, academia, and public policy.
“Finalists will receive feedback, visibility, and potential post-event opportunities including media features and mentorship,” she said.
According to her, innovators interested in participating must complete an online application at [www.innov8league.com](http://www.innov8league.com), including a description of their solution, target problem, and development stage. A short pitch deck or video submission is also required.
Balikis said entries will be evaluated on clarity, originality, feasibility, potential impact, and scalability.
Mr. Solomon Alolga, a panelist at Innov8League, also invited professionals with expertise in entrepreneurship, investment, innovation, research, or product development to apply as judges.
Alolga stated that judges will review applications based on preset criteria and provide feedback that helps contestants strengthen their ideas.
He said: “Judging at Innov8League is about more than scoring. It’s about guiding and giving back to the innovation community by helping great ideas take shape.
“Judges are selected through a merit-based process and are recognized publicly on the Innov8League website.
“Our 2025 panel includes professionals from leading organizations such as Microsoft, EY, Amazon Web Services, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Bank of America, and Georgia-Pacific, reflecting a wide range of industries including tech, finance, consulting, and international development.
“All judges receive an official certificate of participation and have the opportunity to network with fellow experts and finalists.”
Mr. Idriss Laouali Abdou, an Innov8League judge, also said in an increasingly borderless and problem-rich world, Innov8League positions itself as an inclusive space for diverse voices and high-impact solutions.
Abdou explained that the competition seeks entries in categories such as technology, healthcare, sustainability, education, agriculture, social innovation, and financial inclusion.
“We believe the next breakthrough doesn’t need to come from a corporate lab or well-funded startup.
“It can come from a student in Kenya, a solo inventor in Indonesia, or a bootstrapping entrepreneur in Detroit. Innov8League exists to discover, amplify, and connect these voices,” he said.
