MCIU announces 2015 scholarship scheme for undergraduates
Delta State-based, Michael and Cecilia Ibru University (MCIU), has announced a scholarship scheme for aspiring students wishing to obtain undergraduate qualifications in its Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, including the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences in the 2015/ 2016 academic year.
A statement by the registrar of the university, Andrew Johnson Okwudei, said “There are a total of 150 scholarships and bursaries available, and every successful applicant can receive up to N1m towards his or her tuition fees at MCIU, for the duration of the recipient’s undergraduate study.”
The scheme is part of the new MCIU Scholars Scholarship programmes that will directly benefit students entering undergraduate education in 2015/2016.
They made up of series of opportunities such as part tuition fees, bursaries, merit scholarship and sponsorships by individuals and corporate entities.
The registrar reiterated that MCIU is a “world class institution dedicated to the alleviation of poverty through knowledge, we are looking for students who are pursuing higher learning so that they can play a part in making their society a better place”.
The statement further noted that students will be selected on the basis of a Post- UTME test, personal statement and interview.
