Nigeria has one of the largest youth populations in the world, representing an extraordinary opportunity for development and growth.

In 62 years since independence, Nigerians have created a huge impact in the world.

Every generation experienced its share of successful young influencers in Nigeria.

In the spirit of acknowledging achievements and spotlighting the results of hard work and determination. Here are seven young influencers on their respective fields whose impact on society is the very representation of Nigerian resilience.

Jude Feranmi is the convener at Raising New Voices Initiative. For the past seven years, he has worked as a civil society leader, bringing Nigeria’s youth together to advocate for policy’s and legislative reforms that ensure the participation of young people in Nigeria civic and political life.

Damola Ayegbayo is a Nigerian contemporary, expressionist artist and He is the founder of “Victor Arts Enterprises” with over 1500 painting and visual works. Some of his works can be found in Various private collection, United Kingdom and United State, Iwalewa Art Gallery, Nigeria, Art Colony Gallery, Nigeria, Standard Chartered Bank – global collection, Nigeria, KPMG Collection, Nigeria. He was also on Saatchi Art Non fungible token (NFT) project and has featured in art catalogs distributed to hundreds of thousands of homes in the USA.

Shola Akinlade is a Nigerian software engineer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of PayStack. In 2020, Akinlade’s company was acquired by Stripe for $200m.

Akinlade’s company Paystack was a part of startup accelerator YCombinator’s 2016 batch of startups.

Nasir Yammama is the founder and CEO of Verdant Agri-Tech, a company that offers solutions to farmers and other stakeholders of the agricultural value-chain for improved productivity and profitability.

Runcie Chidebe is the founder of Project PINK BLUE, a cancer-fighting venture in Nigeria, connecting cancer patients and communities to cancer diagnosis, treatment and care providers.

Abayomi Mighty is a International Public Speaker, Author and Development Consultant and has just author a book title Thumb Revolution. He has composed 1,217 songs and developed 987 stories ready to be told and scripted into films and novels.

He was awarded Global New Leader for Tomorrow by Crans Montana Forum, Monaco.

Omowumi Ogunrotimi is founder and executive director of Gender Mobile Initiative. She has worked in over 50 rural communities advocating for safe spaces for vulnerable populations particularly, girls and, women.

She was shortlisted among the finalists at the 2018 Commonwealth Youth Programme Awards for her significant impact on communities across the globe, and also was announced one of the winners of the 1000 Entrepreneurship Challenge Africa-Europe Summit by the French Government.

Prince Kekeocha
Kekeocha is a Nigerian technology expert, skilled technocrat and transformational leader that has left an indelible mark on the Nigerian IT sector and sub-sector.
