MoniePoint, Opay, ARISE TV shine at 2024 GRC & FinCrime Awards

The 2024 GRC & FinCrime Prevention Awards, held on November 8th at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, celebrated trailblazers in governance, risk management, and the fight against financial crime. The event honored organizations and individuals across various sectors—including finance, media, and technology—dedicated to fostering transparency, accountability, and ethical practices.

MoniePoint was named GRCEmployer of the Year, while Opay took home the AML/FinCrime Prevention Employer of the Year award. ARISE TV earned the GRC& Anti-FinCrime Reporter/Station of the Year title. The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award was bestowed upon Dr. Oby Ezekwesili and Ibukun Awosika, founder of The Chair Centre, for their outstanding contributions to leadership and governance. YOUVERIFY was recognized as the Best GRC & Financial Crime Prevention Solution Provider of the Year.

Earlier in the day, the event featured a summit themed “Digital Frontiers in Governance, Risk & Compliance: Addressing Financial Crime and Economic Challenges Across Global Sectors in 2025 and Beyond.” The summit was a key platform for thought leadership, with dynamic panel discussions and workshops focused on emerging compliance challenges and financial crime risks.
