Osinbajo Urges Worshippers To Rekindle Love And Service To God

NIGERIA needs the prayers and cooperation of our leaders of faith and followership in every strata of leadership in this nation.

The above were the words of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who was a guest at the just concluded ‘Our Daily Manna World Anointing Night’ held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, organised by the General Overseer of Manna Prayer Mountain Interdenominational, Worldwide and publisher of Our Daily Manna (ODM), Bishop (Dr.) Chris E. Kwakpovwe.

In a keynote address read by Pastor Bamidele Olurin, who represented the Vice President, Osinbajo expressed gratitude to God for bringing the worshippers together from different parts of the world. He urged them to take the advantage of the unique occasion to rekindle their love, reverence and services to the Most-High God, Who, according to him, is the Creator of mankind and all the good things of life.

The Vice President, who is also a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, said, “There is the need to understand the faith, especially the Christian faith, which is resilient in purpose and accommodating to any one willing to respond to God’s love through His only begotten Son.”

He reminded Christians that love towards one another is very pivotal to the Christian faith and, therefore, should understand that love is sufficient and God is more than able to fight for Himself.

Osinbajo called on religious leaders to always remember they are strategic to nation building by virtue of their position and responsibility placed on them by God to teach their members morals, good character and good neighbourliness, adding that these teachings, if imbibed by the followers, would produce men and women with servant hearts, able to occupy offices in government and other positions of authority in the nation.

“This will, by every mean, assure the prospect of excellent leadership, accountability and good governance. Finally, when faith is ignited, it triggers the anointing, which when triggered, releases power and our respective faith will be ignited to trigger the anointing of the Most-High God, which will, in turn, release the power to deliver miracles, signs and wonders of the type that money cannot buy.”

Organiser of the programme, Bishop (Dr.) Chris E. Kwakpovwe, enjoined the congregation to pray for the President, his vice, state governments and all those in authority, so that God will direct them to do the needful. He also used the occasion to present the church’s daily devotional books to the Vice President.

Others that graced the event included the Lagos State governor, who was represented by his wife, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, the Accapella Group, Princess Anne Inyang, delegation of Manna Prayer Mountain from Cameroon, Zambia, United Kingdom, Ghana, religious leaders from Nigeria and various countries, including the Urhobo Choir among others.
