LAGOS State Police command has arrested a robbery suspect, who specialises in robbing Cash-in-Transit vans in Lagos, recovering a whooping 118,000 USD and 50,000 British Pounds.
The suspect, one Bolaji Oyekanmi, was pinned down by men of the Ilupeju Police station led by its Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Olayinka Egbeyemi, a Superintendent of Police, on the August 12, 2015.
The DPO led the suspect to the home of a native Doctor, where the money was being hidden at Mushin area of Lagos.

“I have never seen policing in this way. Immediately the money was recovered by the DPO, it was handed over to us. He asked his anti-robbery team to escort us so that no hoodlum can attack us on the way.” A staff of the company said.
The suspect, who is still in police custody, would soon be charged to court.
