New e-hailing company, Ready Taxis, is set to redefine taxi services in Nigeria

A new e-hailing company, Ready Taxis, is set to redefine taxi services in Nigeria with a passion to enable unlimited and affordable access to transportation.

With the launch of the online solution, passengers are able to access a wide variety of cars and select their most preferred depending on what they can afford, Founder of TZUMTZUM Nigeria Ltd, who initiated the plan, Baba Daniel, said.

Daniel said the innovation would set a new record and raise the bar beyond the conventional operations by existing online transport companies.

Readytaxis ensures that the driver makes higher profit for every trip completed, hence, more people are empowered to make extra money on a daily basis, he noted.

Daniel also said people could provide vehicles to suit Readytaxi’s wide offers like Ready L which is basic, Ready M, a Premium economy and Ready XL for luxury vehicles booking, adding, “Such vehicles must be roadworthy, up to date in registration and capable of making trips without complications.

“Our enrolment regime in terms of commission is the lowest anyone can find in Nigeria now. We allow for people with full time jobs but needing additional opportunities to be able to work and earn money,” he stated recently in a press conference.

He added that partner drivers can retain up to 90 per cent for job completion on the app.

The mobile app booking platform is available for Windows, Ios and Android devices. It is made to complement the web version, which has been in operation since 2017.

“Since it was launched, we have made some considerable gains; we have built strategic partnership with several taxi provider companies and have also started in Lagos, Jos, Owerri, Enugu, and Awka. We have also received inquiries for Port-Harcourt, Calabar and Uyo,” he explained.

The Abuja-based firm said its selling point is that it accepts neat and air conditioned vehicles below 2005 models unlike other logistics providers to ensure more drivers benefitted from the platform.

Even as the private sector is expected to complement government’s efforts towards job creation, Daniel said Readytaxis creates the opportunity for citizens to be self-reliant and employers of labour.
