Southwest NANS lauds NBTE for approving agribusiness for Forestry College

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone has lauded the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for granting the Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan, Oyo State approval to commence Computer Science and Statistics in National Diploma and Agribusiness in Higher National Diploma.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone has lauded the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for granting the Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan, Oyo State approval to commence Computer Science and Statistics in National Diploma and Agribusiness in Higher National Diploma.
   
The Deputy Coordinator of Zone D, Comrade John Alao, made the announcement in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan. 
 
The college, established in 1939, can now admit students who are interested in offering the three newly approved courses by NBTE this session.
   


Alao stated that the singular act is aimed at reforming education and helping to expand the scope of educational system in the country.
 
He appreciated the board led by the Executive Secretary, Professor Idris Muhammad Bugaje for his vision and role towards giving a new look to technical education in the country and also striving to make an impact in the areas of technological education to meet the growing needs of the economy.
 
“We see this as a further step by the board to stick to the mission and vision for which it was created, such as to consolidate and develop the nation’s system of higher education in response to the economy’s manpower,” he added.
  
He also lauded the effort of the Provost,  Professor Aderounmu Adeboyin Funmi and the college management for their progressive impact to change the status quo of the school and also trying every possible means in moving the school forward.
