Think you’ve seen it all? Think again. The Guinness World Records is full of jaw-dropping, hilarious, and downright strange achievements that prove humans will do almost anything to make history.
From breaking toilet seats with heads to wearing underwear as caps. Here are ten records you will struggle to believe actually exist.

1. The Longest Attack of Hiccups
Imagine someone hiccupping for 68 years. That’s what happened to Charles Osborne from the United States, who started hiccupping in 1922 and didn’t stop until 1990. Doctors said it was caused by a fall that damaged his diaphragm, but how he lived through that remains a mystery.

2. The Heaviest Weight Lifted by a Beard
Antanas Kontrimas from Lithuania lifted a woman weighing 63.8 kilograms using only his beard. It’s painful to picture, but the feat earned him a spot in the record books.

3. The Largest Gathering of People Wearing Underwear on Their Heads
In Missouri, USA, 355 people gathered at a museum with one simple goal: to wear underwear on their heads. They did it and held the record for the largest head-underwear gathering in history.

4. The Longest Name with the Most Middle Names
Laurence Gregory Watkins from New Zealand added 2,253 middle names to his name. He legally added every one of them, creating a name that’s longer than most books.

5. The Most Toilet Seats Broken by the Head in One Minute
Yes, this is real. Kevin Shelley from the USA smashed 46 wooden toilet seats with his head in just one minute. Why? Nobody knows, but it earned him a Guinness World Record and maybe a massive headache.

6. The Fastest 100m Sprint on All Fours
Japanese athlete Kenichi Ito ran 100 meters on all fours in just 15.71 seconds, inspired by the movement of monkeys.

7. The Most Big Macs Eaten in a Lifetime
For over 50 years, Donald Gorske from the USA has eaten Big Macs almost every single day. He’s now consumed more than 34,000 Big Macs, proving that dedication (and a strong stomach) can take you far.

8. The Longest Tongue (Female)
Chanel Tapper from the United States has a tongue that measures 9.8 cm (3.86 in) from tip to lip. That’s long enough to lick her nose.

9. The First Suit Made from Moustache Hair
Created in Australia by Pamela Kleemann-Passi in collaboration with Bullfrog Creative Agency and POLITIX, this record-breaking suit was made entirely from donated moustache hair to raise awareness for men’s health. It’s both bizarre and meaningful. A perfect example of art meeting advocacy.

The Guinness World Records might be filled with incredible athletic feats and scientific breakthroughs, but it’s the weird ones that remind us just how wonderfully odd the world can be.
