A Town Sued A Woman For Her Ugly “Flinthome” House

Wonder what happens when your town sues you for building your dream house because you wanted to stand out?

Well, a businesswoman Florence Fang, is about to find out after her neighbours sued her for building her dream house. Now, their problem is not only that the design is different from the other look-alike homes but because she didn’t even get the Flinthouse design right (or so they claim).

In Hillsborough, California, the Ugly House is known as the Flintstones house. That is not all, “Yabba Dabba” is clearly spelt out on her lawn and is surrounded by fake dinosaurs.

While this might intrigue outsiders, the WHOLE TOWN is fed up. According to their lawsuit, the house “created live-safety hazards that required immediate correction to protect visitors to the property.”

Hillsborough building department had before now issued Fang a $200 (N72000) fine because her additions were “designed to be very intrusive, resulting in the owner’s ‘vision’ for her property being imposed on many other properties and views, without regard to the desires of other residents.”

Fang shows no sign of succumbing to their lawsuit and we think she has got all the children on her side.
