After over 19 years, Sir Cliff Richard will soon release his first-holiday album.

The 81-year-old singer, best known for his holiday tune Mistletoe and Wine, last put out a holiday album in 2003 called Cliff at Christmas.

‘Christmas With Cliff’, the celebrity’s most recent holiday offering, will be released on November 25.

The CD will include Cliff’s interpretations of traditional Christmas songs like Sleigh Ride, Joy to the World, and Jingle Bell Rock.
First Christmas, Six Days After Christmas (Happy New Year), and Heart Of Christmas are just a few of the new original tracks the star has recorded for the album.
In order to construct the collection, Cliff enlisted the aid of Sam Hollander and Chris Walden before taking off for Florida to record the album.

In a statement about his new album, Cliff said that Sam and Chris “guided me through” the tracks and that the album “is not just mine,” but rather a group effort.
He said, “I have always loved being in recording studios ever since Studio 2, Abbey Road, in 1958. I recorded this album in Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida – 4,427 miles away from Abbey Road – and once again I felt that I was in a world of my own. I had the help of two producers, Sam Hollander and Chris Walden.”

He continued, “They guided me through the well-known Christmas songs and freed me to sing them my way. They had differing approaches to the songs that I asked them to produce for me, and they gave this album the dynamics that I had hoped for.”

Speaking about the album he said,”This album is not just mine – it belongs to all of us involved in creating it, and I hope that we add a little something special to your Christmas season.”

Together With Cliff Richard, the star’s 1991 album, was published with Cliff at Christmas, which was released 19 years ago.

Cliff has had four UK No. 1 songs for the holiday throughout the years, including two as a solo artist with Mistletoe and Wine and Saviour’s Day.

It follows the announcement that Sir Cliff’s calendar is anticipated to be the top seller in 2019.
