Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Aderigbigbe, better known as Ayra Starr, has landed four nominations for the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards.

The full list of nominees was made public on Wednesday, showing Ayra Starr nominated in the ‘Best African Act’, ‘Best Push’, ‘Best Afrobeats’, and ‘Best New Artist’ categories.
Other top Nigerian artists in the running for the ‘Best Afrobeats’ award include Tems, Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema.
South African singer, Tyla, also scored four nominations, including ‘Best New’, ‘Best Afrobeats’, ‘Best African Act’, and ‘Best R&B’.

The American superstar, Taylor Swift, leads the pack with the highest nominations in seven categories.
The 30th MTV EMA ceremony is set to hold on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, UK.
