Chioma Chukwuka: The Method Actress
Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha is a Nigerian actress and movie producer and she was born today, March 12, 1980 in Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra State.
Chukwuka comes from Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria.
She completed her primary education at Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos State, and then attended Federal Government Girls College Onitsha, Anambra State for her secondary education. She finally enrolled at Lagos State University, where she studied Banking and Finance.
Chukwuka’s acting career began with her debut in the movie “The Apple” in 2000 and she also acted in the film “The Handkerchief” in the same year.
Since then, she has been a prominent figure in the Nigerian movie industry and her display of raw emotions and immersion in the character she is portraying have earned her several awards including the Africa Movie Academy Award for “Best Actress in a leading role”, and the Afro Hollywood award for best actress in a lead role.
Chukwuka has starred in over 80 Nollywood movies and she also co produced and starred in the award nominated blockbuster “On bended kneels”.
