November 18th promises to be a monumental day for both dance enthusiasts and Nigerians worldwide, as Mr Philip Godstime, a talented dancer based in Bayelsa State, sets his sights on breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest dance marathon.

The ambitious event will span 38 kilometres, starting at the Bayelsa State Toll Gate and finishing at the Bayelsa Sports Complex. It promises to be a celebration of Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage, with a dynamic display of 36 state dances, each representing the unique traditions from across the country.

Mr Philip Godstime, who has made a name for himself in the dance community, is determined not only to break a world record but also to promote Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity.
The event, which is set to draw both local and international attention, will not only showcase the nation’s dance talent but also serve as a significant cultural milestone.

Speaking in an emotionally laden voice, Godstime sought support from all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe or religion, to help him reach his dream, as he can’t achieve it alone.
He said the journey to the Guinness World Record requires the support of his community, fans, and all Nigerians who believe in his mission.

“We need YOUR support. This isn’t just about me; it’s about showcasing the beauty of Nigeria’s cultures and putting our country on the world map in a way that inspires others to dream big. I can’t do this alone, and I’m calling on everyone to contribute in whatever way they can.”

“Supporters are encouraged to get involved in various ways – from donations to physical participation and spreading the word. Material and financial donations will go a long way in helping with event logistics, ensuring the marathon runs smoothly from start to finish,” he said.

Mr Godstime’s dance marathon is expected to not only attract a large crowd but also receive attention from global media, shining a spotlight on the amazing potential within Nigeria’s performing arts community. With the event fast approaching, now is the time to rally behind this exceptional endeavour.

“Let’s show the world what Nigeria is made of,” added Godstime. “We are a nation rich in culture, talent, and determination. Together, we can achieve something extraordinary!”
