Davido And Fave Set To Drop “Kante” Video On May 8

Afrobeats sensation Davido is set to release the official video of the single, Kante, featuring Fave. The video is set to roll out on May 8, as the singer disclosed on social media.

“KANTE May 8, the final chapter,” he wrote.

Davido produced Kante with Nigerian singer Chidozie Ugochinyere, also known as Fave. On January 1, Fave expressed her disappointment over Davido performing the song in a show without her, and also without her part of the song. To her, it would have been a perfect way to start her career, as a rising star in the music industry.

“Begun my New Year’s with such a huge gag lol hugging Davido backstage as he’s about to perform, to watching him perform Kante in a new version with my verse taken off. Performing with you would have been a good way to start my year, but I guess life happens. Happy nu year,” she shared on X.

She however admitted though, that she looks forward to performing with the Afrobeats star.

Although that goal later came through, as both artists were in New York for a show. She appreciated the Timeless crooner, with a happy gesture.

“Thank you @davido for MSG. Thank you New York I know it seems like I wasn’t singing but I was singing singing fr. The mic n*gga being. I had so much fun and I hope we do this again!” she said.
