Davido went all out for Amiri on Paris Fashion Week 2025
Nigerian music sensation, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, A.K.A. OBO, made a striking appearance at Amiri’s Fall/Winter show on Paris Fashion Week 2025.
The event, held on January 23, 2025, at the Palais de Tokyo, saw Davido, alongside fellow artist Omah Lay, gracing the front row in support of designer Mike Amiri.
Paris Fashion Week, running from January 21 to 26, 2025, showcases a blend of established and emerging designers. This year’s Paris fashion week features notable names such as Louis Vuitton, Dior Men’s, Rick Owens, Hermès, and Kenzo. Themes of sustainability and avant-garde approaches dominate the collections, reflecting the industry’s evolving scene.
Amiri’s presentation was a highlight of the week, drawing attention from fashion enthusiasts and celebrities alike. As Davido entered the venue, ‘Oyinbo’ fans erupted in excitement; some asked for photographs while others did short videos with him.
Davido’s presence not only underscored the growing intersection of music and fashion but also highlighted the global influence of African artists in the fashion scene.

He also seems to understand how integral fashion is to music and vice versa. Recall that OBO also walked the runway for the famous Nigerian fashion designer, Ugo Monye, on Lagos Fashion Week 2024. He has taken a step further to place African artistes on the global fashion scene, one that will linger in history.
The fusion of high fashion and celebrity culture was palpable throughout the week. Designers like Paul Smith drew inspiration from personal narratives, with Smith’s collection reflecting his father’s photography.
Meanwhile, Yohji Yamamoto showcased thick, quilted outerwear, maintaining his signature dark palette.
