Facebook for Creators Initiative
On Tuesday, July 10, Facebook and Afrinolly hosted a party to launch the Facebook for Creators Initiative. Through this, they are set to embark on a mission to train 3,000 creative entrepreneurs and 2,000 journalism students.
This is a part of Facebook’s recent announcement to train 50,000 Small and Medium Businesses[SMBs], students and creative entrepreneurs over the course of the year.
The initiative started with Facebook hosting some of Nigeria’s top influencers, media and other key stakeholders for an afternoon of discussion and evening of networking, music and good food.
The goal is to show Facebook’s dedication in helping to grow the creative economy while also helping to equip the next generation with the skills to thrive in a digital world.
Rapper Falz to host epic live performance
The red carpet will roll out again today as rapper Falz headlines a live performance at Terra Kulture. This event is highly anticipated after his controversial song, This is Nigeria. The show is the fourth of the live series previously hosted by Omawumi, Adekunle Gold and Flavour.
Trace Live with Falz would continue this trajectory with the Rapper’s insightful hit, This is Nigeria, that got the whole country harping on its criticism of the state of the nation. Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falzthebahdguy, is arguably one of the most intriguing acts that have sprung up in recent times as his ability to deliver 16 bars with strong punchlines and an infusion of impressionism blows away audiences.
