Veteran Actor And Comedian Baba Sala Dies At 82
The Nigerian entertainment industry has lost one of its rarest gems in the person of veteran comedian, actor and dramatist, Moses Olaiya Adejumo popularly known as Baba Sala.
It is gathered that he died at the age of 82 on Sunday, October 7th in his Ilesa, Osun State home.
Taking to Facebook to confirm the news of his death, his daughter, Oyindamola Adejumo Ayibiowu wrote:
“Goodnight, my great dad, Moses Olaiya Adejumo (Baba Sala). I’m proud to be your daughter, your legacy lives on!’.
His son, Adejumo Boisala Emmanuel also wrote:
“My Daddy is gone. Finally gone home to glory. King of Comedy finally say bye-bye to this world. I will miss you so much Daddy. I love you so much but God love you more. Good night my mentor, father, teacher, gist partner. My daddy is gone.”
The entertainment legend’s death is coming after a struggle with his health in the past four years. He was diagnosed with stroke and spent a major time at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo state.
His remains has since been deposited at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex Annex, (Wesley Guild Hospital) in Ilesa.
