Shakira’s residence in Barcelona, which she previously shared with soccer player Gerard Pique, will no longer belong to her as it has been confirmed that she will live in Miami with her children. Instead, Clara Chia Marti, who played a significant role in the former couple’s settlement following months of conflict, is expected to move into the property.

The Colombian and the Spaniard came to an agreement, that the singer had to give up the home where the former soccer player will reside with his girlfriend Clara Chia.

Clara Chia persuaded Gerard to find a solution so that everything would conclude in the nicest way possible for the ex-couple and their children Milan and Sasha, and it was just this conquest that was crucial in Pique and Shakira coming to an understanding.

According to media reports, the young woman wants the two to settle things amicably and she would have been the one who has urged the sportsman to calm down and talk things over, facilitating the wishes of the mother of his children.

After several weeks of deliberations, they eventually came to an agreement, according to their lawyers, which was achieved after more than 12 hours of negotiations at the home of the Colombian singer.

Shakira, in a statement, said “We want to communicate that we have signed an agreement that guarantees the welfare of our children and that will be ratified in court, as part of a merely formal procedure. Our sole objective is to provide them with the utmost security and protection, and we trust that their privacy will be respected. We appreciate the interest shown and hope that the children can continue with their lives with the necessary privacy, in a safe and quiet environment.”
