With three singles, Living in Zion, Thankful and Many Days, which are making wave, gospel artiste, Apphia Queenz, has said that she loves to encourage and touch lives through songs, hence her choice of the genre.

“I chose gospel music to be my primary focus because it uplifts the soul, encourages, gives hope ad strengthens. I can testify that it has really changed my life positively and has turned peoples’ lives around for good,” she said.

She is inspired by the word of God and happenings around the world. Her role models in the industry include, Tasha Cobbs, Sinach, Ada Ehi, Kierra Sheard and other influential acts.

“They are unique artistes who do not try to be like others but have their own unique singing style. They express their passion through music by writing their own songs. I have also seen that they have great influence, which I believe I have the potential to achieve,” Queenz added.

According to her, she started singing five years ago and the message behind her music is love, peace, joy and hope in God. “I also talk about life, personal experiences and things happening in the world today. I’m working on other projects and looking at doing another single and video soon. At the moment, I am focusing on the promotion of my recent video release Many Days.”

Starting out wasn’t easy for her, as she observed that there the industry is fiercely competitive. She was not discouraged, as her passion for music urged her on.

“Everyone wants to be the best and wants to stand out. It is easy to feel like you can’t make it especially when there are many very good artistes that have a legacy. I have been able to overcome this competitive mindset by staying focused on the projects God has given me by working on myself knowing that it doesn’t take one day to become the best but you just have to work on yourself, be the best you can be and stop trying to be like others as you are unique,” she stated.
