I don’t love music, it takes souls – Odumodublvck
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed he doesn’t love music, despite his success in the industry.
Odumodublvck, a member of hip-hop collective Anti-World Gangstars made this statement while reflecting on his career and personal life in a documentary released, Wednesday, October 24, 2024.

“I don’t love music, I love football, I love my niggers, I love my mummy, I don’t need to do anything for my mummy to show me love.
“Music is a symbiotic relationship, I must do something for it to show me love, music has never on its own say; I will do this thing for you. It’s used to collect people’s souls,” the rapper shared in the story produced by Nigerian content creator Ugobaby.
His remarks shed light on his view that music doesn’t offer anything freely but instead takes from those involved.
“If music should rise now, I will tell it that I don’t love it but we are friends, one thing I know about it is that it is a stand up guy, whatever work you put in there, musc will give you back, it doesn’t cheat, ” he added.
The rapper, who was recently nominated for “Best International Flow” at the BET Hip-Hop Awards but didn’t clinch the award, stated further that he sold out more than 500 tickets in recent Canada concerts.
In the 18-minute documentary, the Abuja-raised artist opened up about his journey in the music world, discussing both the highs and lows.
While some find his statement about not loving music surprising, it seems more a reflection of the tough realities of the industry than a rejection of the art itself. For Odumodublvck, the love of football, friendship, and family comes first.
