In a post on his Twitter page, Lil Durk wrote, “RIP MOHBAD aka Imole.” Kodak Black also took to Instagram live to show his support for Mohbad, saying, “R.I.P to Mohbad. Kodak you were his neighborhood hero till he passing. Damn! What’s so crazy right now is I just ran across this n*gga’s page this week -few days ago- Sleep well wherever you are, man.”

Mohbad was allegedly assaulted by his record label executives, Naira Marley and Zinoleesky, on June 28, 2023. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The incident has sparked outrage among fans and musicians alike, with many calling for justice for Mohbad. The Nigerian Police Force has launched an investigation into the incident and has arrested two suspects.

Lil Durk and Kodak Black are two of the most popular hip hop rappers in the world. Their support for Mohbad is a sign that the international community is paying attention to the case and is calling for justice.
