Multidimensional and multifaceted Nigerian singer, rapper and songwriter based in the United States of America, Edet Otudor Otudor Ene popularly known as O2udor has described himself as an activist musician to drive his assertion home he mentioned some of the protests he has participated in, affirming that he makes music for the voiceless.

I am an activist and an advocate for the peace and freedom of my people. Besides using my music to sensitize my audience on the importance of loving and caring for one another, I’ve managed to use my platform to raise funds repeatedly for charity. I see helping people in need as an achievement. It is something that would not be easy to do without the music and the audience I have built over time. Food has been put on the tables of families, young kids have been able to go back to school and stay in school, some of my audience have received the support they need to provide health care to their loved ones back home and more.

“ I have also actively participated in rallies and peaceful protests which have yielded results for my people. Examples are the End SARS movement and the Cameroon civil crisis which is still ongoing. The most recent that I was part of was being one of the headlining music artists, at a protest in Washington, DC, USA to urge the US government to grant TPS (Temporal Protected Status) to Cameroonians in the USA without legal documentation to live and work there and prevent them from being repatriated to Cameroon. I see this and other wins as achievements which without music would not have been possible.”

O2udor is born to a Nigerian mother and a Cameroonian father. He is blessed with the rich culture & heritage of his two nations; Cameroon and Nigeria. He is very versatile on account of the influences of the genres of Afrobeats & Makossa from Nigeria and Cameroon respectively, which he grew up listening to.

His ability to tap into these genres, blend the original sounds of these nations, and the fact that he is bilingual (speaks both French & English languages), in addition to the opportunity that he had experienced life on both soils, and his ability to tell his story and speak on the plight of the voiceless citizens of these nations through his music makes him different from other artists, based in the Diaspora.

O2udor started his professional music career in 2014 with the release of a single titled “Okada”. He affirmed his presence on the scene with another single in 2015 titled ‘Fo Ma Katier”.

In 2016 and 2017, he had a number of features in some of the song titles which include; Gimme Ya Luv, I know, U bad.

2018 appeared to be his best year as he released his first Extension Play titled “Incarnation of Love EP having released three singles, namely; Best Friend, My Girl and Run Dat.

In 2019 he released another single titled “Black Queen”.
