Nigerians React After Osinbajo Backs Out Of Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s “RubbinMinds” Show

As the hours drew close, Nigerians waited eagerly on their seats and stayed glued to their television screens for the hour of APC’s redemption.

In the past few days, the Buhari-led administration had become the subject of the national and international conversations. Buhari who had told the lawmakers that the “World is watching” because of the disagreements between the majority and minority parties was now the centre of attention after the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.

Two days after this, the vice-president of the nation, Osinbajo was going to be the man on the hot seat of Ebuka Obi-Uchendu’s show, RubbinMinds on Channels Television.

It was only right that he appeared Nigerians opined, first as the vice-president and as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Hours to the show, Osinbajo pulled another Atiku on Nigerians only that this time, he did not show up at all but called instead to cancel.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu tweeted:

Due to some matters arising, our proposed guest @ProfOsinbajo, will no longer be appearing on #RubbinMinds today. Sincere apologies to our viewers. We will keep everyone posted on any future updates.

While Nigerians voiced out their anger, there appeared to be a protest by her citizens at the Channels television ground:

There were also Nigerians who took to Twitter to voice their opinion:

Andrew Alli- Surprise, surprise 😂😂😂
I wonder if this will receive the vitriol that @atiku received for pulling out of the debate.

The Papi @tawah89- I knew Osibanjo would cancel that interview with Ebuka . I was waiting for him to justify the unconstitutional suspension of the CJN on live camera.
He is prolly waiting for things to die down so he can reappear in Ikeja City Mall holding a cup of coldstone ice cream.

@andyRoidO- Your gateman cannot sack your driver. The President is our staff, he cannot act alone on this. If we allow the president to do that to the CJN, we are allowing anybody to do that to any of us.

He was soon replaced with @andyRoidO (Chief orwelliANDYstopia) and Chydee (Chidi Okereke). Here is what people had to say:

Sirwebs @sirwebs- A guest on #RubbinMinds said something very important: what if the losing candidate in the elections queries the legality of the elections tribunal that was just inaugurated yesterday?

Others beg to disagree

Emeka D. Azubuike @zubidavies- If I tell you that I am not disappointed at this Millennial trying to impress Ebuka on #RubbinMinds then saying this generation is doomed or scary is an understatement.

Omosola Adedeji- @Sacred_Sola- Ebuka,Please don’t bring such politically shallow guys on air. It discredits you. #RubbinMinds

Arc Oj-Ojo @ojoojadedapo- @Ebuka, …..Road to 2019 election & you brought on set an analyst who turned out to be an unofficial Atiku”s spokeperson 😀😀😀!!!Haba….this your chidi guy ehn!!! #Rubbinminds
