American rapper Wiz Khalifa has shared his thoughts on relationships, suggesting couples should date for at least a decade before tying the knot.

The 37-year-old rapper, who is a father of two, believes that a 10-year courtship gives couples enough time to truly understand each other and their families.

Speaking on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Wiz said, “People should date for 10 years before getting married because that’s long enough to know the person, their family, and who you’re going to deal with when you move in together.”

When asked if couples should live together before marriage, Wiz explained that it depends on individual circumstances.

He added, “Some people move in right away and still need time to figure it out. If you don’t move in right away, you’ll learn that there’s one version of the person when you’re not sharing things and a different version when you are.”

Wiz Khalifa was previously married to model Amber Rose. The couple tied the knot on July 8, 2013, the same year they welcomed their son. However, their marriage hit the rocks when Amber filed for divorce in 2014, citing irreconcilable differences. By 2016, their union was officially dissolved.

Currently, Wiz is in a relationship with his girlfriend of five years, Aimee Aguilar.

The couple recently celebrated the arrival of their daughter, further strengthening their bond.
