Former Nollywood actress turned medical practitioner, Regina Askia has joined the list of prominent Nigerians to react to the recent report of the 77 Nigerians listed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for fraud.
In a lengthy social media post, she encouraged Nigerians in the diaspora who are currently facing racism issues, to hang in there and continue to be the best they’ve always been.

She wrote that her prayers are with all the honest hardworking Nigerians in America while also urging them to brace themselves because a lot of stupid will be coming at them. According to her, they will now have to deal with not just degradation and racism but also walk around in the shadow of suspicion.

She believes that their resilience and focus will help the rise above all that and instead of playing the victim card, like water they will find their way around any and all obstacles and triumph. Askia then went on to apologise on behalf of those who have brought Nigeria to shame while encouraging others to stay strong
In a 2016 interview with Guardian Woman, Askia said people have the right to decide if they want to live or die.
