Teenagers Shot Woman, Child Dead Over Christmas Presents
A 23-year-old woman was reportedly shot and killed by two teenagers in Florida during a dispute over Christmas presents.
Two teenage brothers, aged 15 and 14, have been arrested in connection with the shooting. The older brother allegedly shot the woman in the chest, while she had her 10-month-old son in a carrier.
Subsequently, the younger brother, aged 14, shot the baby after taking out his own gun. The argument that led to the tragedy was reportedly about who would receive more presents.
Sheriff Bob Gualtieri revealed that the 15-year-old fled the scene, discarding his weapon. The younger brother, in stable condition after being taken to the hospital, will face custody upon release.
Local prosecutors will review the case to determine whether the 14-year-old will be charged as an adult for his sister’s killing. The woman, suffering from internal bleeding, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Fortunately, the baby in the carrier remained unharmed.
The 15-year-old has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and tampering with evidence in connection to this tragic incident.
