In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Tems dedicated the award to her mother, coinciding with her mother’s birthday. She expressed profound gratitude, stating, “Dear God, thank you very much for putting me on this stage and bringing me this team. Tomorrow is my mum’s birthday. This is her first Grammy and I just want to thank her because she has really done a lot for me and my brother. Happy birthday, mum.”
