Born in India in 1993, Amge was diagnosed with achondroplasia, a rare form of dwarfism, at birth. Her parents, initially worried about her future, nurtured her spirit and encouraged her to embrace her unique stature.
Amge’s first taste of fame came at the tender age of 15 when she was awarded the title of the shortest teenager living. Measuring just 61.95 cm (2 ft), she weighed only 4 kg (9 lb) more than her birth weight at a remarkable 5.4 kg (12 lb).
Despite facing challenges navigating a world built for people much taller, Amge never let her size define her. She embraced her individuality and turned her limitations into opportunities.
“I never felt different,” Amge once said. “I always felt like I could achieve anything I set my mind to.”
And achieve she did. Amge carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry, appearing in Bollywood films and American television shows like “American Horror Story: Freak Show.” She even walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, proving that size doesn’t matter when it comes to making a grand entrance.
Beyond entertainment, Amge has become a powerful advocate for people with disabilities, using her platform to raise awareness about accessibility challenges and promoting inclusivity.
