Ugochukwu Monye, the Creative Director and founder of Ugo Monye has left guests in awe at the 2023 Lagos Fashion Week.

Ranging from subtle to vibrant colours, every display was inspiring. The Nigerian fashion designer showcased an array of bold, unique, and cutting-edge styles having an aura of royalty as the male models tapped into their kingship.

Having been in the industry for over ten years, his majestic display of men’s wear was a testament to his ability to give classy and elegant fashion designs embellished with contemporary comfort.

Ugo Monye has styled the likes of BBNaija Host, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, Jidenna, Joke Silva, Banky W, Freedom Jacob Ceasar, Uti Nwachukwu, and Alex Ekubo, among others.

In a past interview, the designer noted that what he loves the most about being a Fashion Designer is that it allows him to express himself and that it is every Designer’s dream to win people, to make people aspire to their inspiration. “That feeling when you do something, and you see everyone’s inspired by what you’ve done.”

This was evident in his displayed works as the guest gave the designer a thunderous cheer and the only standing ovation for the night.
