Update: De Lankaster Hotel Deletes Negative Reviews After Rape Incident
On the 7th of February, we brought you information that De Lankaster Hotel located in the highbrow area of Lagos had gotten bad reviews after a rape incident allegedly involving the son of the owner, Don-Chima, 25 and Razaq Oluwaseun Oke, 28 took place.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chike Oti confirming the story said,
“While at the club, they mixed the young woman’s drink with a substance that made her weak and almost unconscious.
“Satisfied that the drug was beginning to affect the lady, they quietly left the club with her to Dallankester Hotels in Lekki Phase one, owned by the father of one of the suspects named Don-Chima George. At the hotel, they took turns to rape her. As if that wasn’t enough, they videoed the abuse.”
In a rather interesting twist, the two suspects were released after the father of Don-Chima got involved in the case. Unconfirmed reports claim that he got the brother of the girl arrested.
Shortly after this, Nigerians took to the reviews section on Google to give bad reviews.
However, as at 6 am, the 8th of February, the reviews appear to have been DELETED. At present, there are only 18 reviews and not the previous number (294). More so, its ranking has increased to 4.8 stars with the last review written a month ago by John Njaga Demps.
