Vin Diesel Denies Sexual Battery Allegations Through Attorney
Actor Vin Diesel is facing a sexual battery lawsuit filed by his former assistant, Asta Jonasson, stemming from an alleged incident in 2010. Diesel’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, released a statement to the New York Post denying the allegations “categorically.”
Freedman emphasized that Diesel “has never heard about this more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly nine-day employee.” He further asserted that “there is clear evidence which completely refutes these outlandish allegations.”
Jonasson’s lawsuit describes the alleged incident as occurring in a hotel suite during the filming of “Fast Five.” She claims Diesel forced himself on her, made inappropriate advances, and engaged in other unwanted physical contact.
The lawsuit remains under investigation, and the validity of the claims will be determined through the legal process. At this stage, it is important to remember that Diesel has not been convicted of any crime and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The allegations against Diesel have sparked significant media attention and discussions about sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood.
It is also important to note that Jonasson is not the first woman to come forward with allegations against Diesel. In 2019, actress Michelle Rodriguez claimed that Diesel had “bullied” her on the set of the “Fast & Furious” franchise. However, Rodriguez later retracted the allegations, stating that they were made in the heat of the moment and that she regretted saying them.
