The long-standing rivalry between Wizkid and Davido has taken another twist, with Wizkid throwing some jabs at his fellow artiste, Davido.

Fans quickly jumped into the fray, making the issue a trend across social media.

The latest drama kicked off on Tuesday when Davido revealed his first single of 2024. The song is expected to be a banger celebrating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.

But Wizkid, clearly unimpressed, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts. He posted, “P***y boys dropping mid again. Una don tire! Make una go rest small! 🦅” While he didn’t mention any names, fans were quick to point fingers at Davido, seeing it as a direct shot.

Davido’s supporters didn’t waste time firing back. One fan wrote, “So if you no beef @davido your song won’t sell??” Wizkid responded sharply, “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent! 🦅”

The back-and-forth didn’t stop there. Wizkid continued shading Davido’s music catalog, dismissing it as “trash.” He added, “80 trash! We got 80 albums for any song y’all drop! P***y boys! ❤️🦅.”

Surprisingly, Davido, who is usually active online, chose to stay silent this time, not responding to Wizkid’s tweets. This isn’t the first time the two have clashed on social media. Back in May, Wizkid stirred things up by mocking Davido and Don Jazzy. He called Don Jazzy an “influencer” and teased Davido with an old video of him pleading on his knees.

Fans and celebrities have reacted to Wizkid’s latest shots, but Davido is keeping his cool, at least for now.
