‘15, 000 students benefit from foundation’

Over 15, 000 beneficiaries have been recorded at the Rochas Foundation College’s empowerment since its inception in 1998.

The Director-General of the Foundation, Mrs. Uloma Rochas Nwosu, disclosed this yesterday, at the southwest conference of the Rochas Foundation Old Students Association (ROFOSA) in Lagos.

Nwosu added that over 4,000 have also graduated from the school since the period.

She said the college is an initiative of the Rochas Foundation to provide free education for indigent members of the society who could not afford quality education in Nigeria and Africa.

According to her, the founder, Governor Rochas Okorocha is using the foundation to take about 10 million less-privileged Africans off the streets.

She announced that ROFOSA had supported one of its members, Sitsofe Feyi Kwame, an indigene of Ghana, with N1million one to boost his ‘F and K’ meals services in Nigeria. The fund, according to Nwosu, “was to ensure that the business thrives so that Kwame could be give back to his society.”

The President of ROFOSA, Suliaman Adamu, commended the association for the assistance.

Addressing the students, the CEO of Zinox technologies, Leo Stan Ekeh, urged them to make the best of the array of opportunities that the 21st century has to offer.
