At least 150 inmates serving jail terms In Agodi Correctional Centre of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) have graduated from the eight weeks intensive behavioural reformation course organised by the Prison Fellowship of Nigeria, (PFN) Oyo State chapter.

The inmates who could not hide their joy at the graduation ceremony held at the Agodi Prisons, Ibadan, were seen dancing during a praise and worship session led by a team of singers.

Speaking at the forum, Chairman, Prison Fellowship of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter, Prophet Boyede Sule, explained that the gesture was one of the many projects put in place by the group to actualise restoration, rehabilitation and reintegration of the inmates.

Sule stated that the programme enables inmates to know Christ and enables them to see themselves in the light of their creator.

He appealed to the inmates to make judicious use of the teachings and genuinely have a positive change of heart to be useful after serving their jail term.

The Assistant Controller of Agodi correctional centre, Ibadan, Mrs. Oluwatosin Otubu, pledged commitment of the Service to welfare of inmates through public private partnership to make life more meaningful for inmates.

Otubu who appreciated the group for various interventions at the centre said the gesture would go a long way in rehabilitating the inmates.
